Training

Please read the rules and guidance below. These rules must be strictly adhered to and attendance forms on the right must be completed before each training session.

U10s & U12s will train together on Mondays, 6:15pm – 7:15pm.

U14s & Seniors will train together on Mondays, 7:30pm – 8:45pm

All training will take place at Beckfoot School, Wagon Lane, Bingley, BD16 1EE.

Please aim to pick up and drop off as near to the stated times as possible so we don’t have cross over of groups.

Car parking is at the front of the school building and the entrance to the 3G Astro turf pitch is to the left of the school.

We need to ensure we comply with the procedures in place by Beckfoot School and follow Government and England Hockey guidelines. Therefore please read the below carefully (and share with your child where appropriate). Please complete any forms were necessary as, without this, you/your child will not be able to attend training:

    1. Complete the EH Participation Agreement (just once) EH Participation Agreement
    2. Each week complete the training registration form appropriate to your age group to enable groups to be set and track and trace details to be recorded. If attending more than one session please complete 2 forms. Either click the link below, or complete the forms on the right. U10 & U12 Attendance Form U14 & Seniors Attendance Form
    3. Comply with government social distancing rules when not on the astroturf.
    4. On arrival at the pitch, register at the table and ensure you/your child has used the hand sanitiser. You will be told which group you/your child is in and when you/they will be allowed on the pitch.
    5. When you/your child is on the pitch, you/they will need to stay in the group to which you/they have been assigned until the end of the session. These groups could be as large as 30.
    6. Some coaches may move between bubbles, but they will keep 2m away from the others.
    7. During training, players are able to be closer together during active play (ie. when tackling) but they need to keep social distance when standing.
    8. Do not pick up any balls as they can only be touched with their stick or by your group coach.
    9. Where necessary, a bib will be given to players to wear for that session. At the end of the session, they must be removed and placed in the dedicated bag. Do not swap bibs with each other.

We will go through this before the start of each session but it’s useful for to have an understanding before hand.

1 toilet is available in the main school building. Hand sanitiser must be used before and after use. This is really for emergencies only!

Instructions may change over time but the main thing is for us to put things in place so we can get on with playing the sport we love.

Any questions please contact Jo.
